Gone for a year

About three weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful family as part of the OpLove organization, where I am a volunteer photographer and the Regional Coordinator for South Florida. 

This session occurred just before their father left for a year. Can you imagine a year without your husband/significant other?  A year without your father? A year away from your family?  They sacrifice so much for our freedom - the servicemen and women, and the families they leave behind.
